Look Up & Be Reminded

Today we are reminded once again of His glorious Resurrection. It truly never ceases to amaze me all the beautiful reminders each & every Saturday/Sunday while we sing our hymns at Church.

And if I let it sink in, I take that home and get a glimpse of the reminders all around me in this amazing creation.

One of my favorite reminders is found when I force myself to look up! I have written about this before. Looking Up, & God Be Gracious Unto Us. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for these reminders.

I find incredible strength & beauty in looking up at the trees. They are truly amazing. They bring us shelter & shade, as well as great beauty.

Today, also happens to be the Sunday of the Prodigal Son, in the Orthodox Church. Each year 2 weeks before Great Lent begins we read the Gospel story of the Prodigal Son. We are reminded that God is always, and forever ready to welcome us back home.

I realize that just like the prodigal son, I lose myself in sin. And I forget. I forget God and all He has done for me. Every single day. Every day I am like the prodigal son & I need to find myself and go home.

I need reminders. Every day. Go home!

I am so grateful for these daily reminders. These weekly reminders. These annual reminders.

May your day be filled with beautiful reminders of God’s welcoming arms.

Love,

Susan
