Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2019! A new year to walk on the path to salvation…to meet the risen Lord.

Another year to make changes.

In me.

To take one step at a time to work on joy and love.

Daily.

I don’t really like the term “New Years Resolution” as it has such a bad reputation. My path is daily. All year long. I don’t want to just resolve to change at the beginning of every new year…but rather every single day of the year.

That being said I would like to just take this time to reflect and confirm, to myself and to you, my purpose for writing. To confirm my daily resolution to become a Kindler of Joy.

Today, January 2nd, is the anniversary of the repose of St. Seraphim of Sarov. He is my inspiration on this path. I’ve written much about him. It is a perfect time to think back on his influences.

On the right-side menu bar, you will find his most influential quote and a true inspiration for the naming of this blog…

“Joy, radiant joy, streams from the face of him who gives and kindles joy in the heart of him who receives.” -St. Seraphim

Radiant Joy is ours for the taking if we kindle joy in others.

This is the goal.

St. Seraphim gave. Let us follow his example.

I have taken this natural clean slate of time to reflect and confirm my goals for the future. To plan for my endeavors to kindle joy.

Won’t you join me!?
