Through this journey to joy, recently, I’ve been praying that God give me “courage to change the things I can” (mainly better habits) along with strength from Him to get through another day as the bee does, looking for the sweetness of life. Did you know that in scripture the phrase “be strong and of… Continue reading Be Strong and of Good Courage
Slides on Throwback Thursday
No not the playground kind! What could I mean then? Does anyone remember these... Recently I went through a box of slides from my childhood and earlier. The first picture above was from before I was even thought about. The second picture is of my mom in 1971, I was born but not in the… Continue reading Slides on Throwback Thursday
Loving Mail and Perpetual Calendar
I love sending mail and I love receiving mail. Who doesn't love to receive mail? This year I went all out on Mother's Day because who doesn't love to receive mail? It puts a smile on your face! I had such a blast sending cards this year. There are so many wonderful mothers in the… Continue reading Loving Mail and Perpetual Calendar
55 Maxims–Two Lists

Treasure Hunt Printable!

I found a treasure!
I found myself a treasure. These boys! Today that baby stands 6 feet tall. And the bickering between them is nonstop. But the bliss on the face of that toddler brings my heart back into focus.
Treasure Hunt Anyone?
I have continued reading Dr. Albert Rossi’s book “Becoming a Healing Presence” that I mentioned in A Soft Smile and again in this week’s Maxim Monday. On Monday I talked about practicing stillness and shared what Dr. Rossi had to say about that. He continues to talk about learning stillness in the next chapter of… Continue reading Treasure Hunt Anyone?
Maxim Week 8
Addendum: I've had to do some research and corrections of the 55 Maxims list due to finding 2 different versions floating around. Check out this post that explains. #8 is actually "Keep the Church's Fasting rules." and #9 is "Spend time in silence every day." I've moved #8 to Week 7 post. On this Maxim… Continue reading Maxim Week 8
