Happy Wednesday!

We are almost halfway through January 2022 already! My, how time flies! It is rather crazy.

Dn. James and I spent the first 3 days of this new year in Texas, where the sky is blue from horizon to horizon and it is sunny and warm, most of the time. We had some cool temps and some warm temps. Some days in the upper 70’s and on others highs in the 40’s. I needed the break from the gray, rainy days and we got to visit our friends we haven’t seen in 2 years. What a lovely visit it was!

This was taken on a cold night in TX. It was 45 degrees and we went to see the Christmas light display at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Gardens. We visited the Longhorn Caverns State Park as well. That was super cool!

I miss my friends, and I miss the big blue sky!

As I settle back into being home (oooo, I am so happy to be at home again), there is so much to do to catch up. Things that got put aside for so long, including just about everything outside. I’m focusing this month of January on setting up some new routines and working on some healthy habits. Kelsey and I hope to hike regularly. She got a puppy in October and she has been hiking regularly with Poppy. Hiking in the Pacific NW is quite a wonderful thing, especially if you don’t mind getting wet.

I plan to share a lot of new photos with y’all! I love taking photos and I love this beautiful creation God has gifted to us.

Do you know what today is?

It has been a long time since I have talked about the beautiful act of letter writing. I haven’t been very good at letter writing lately but it is time to get back into the swing of things! I got a beautiful glass dipping ink pen from my daughter for Christmas. It is fun to use. I need to get used to it. It is unique and beautiful.

Have you written letters lately? How about Christmas cards? That counts!

Have a very blessed week! Go enjoy some sun and nature and hug those you love today!

  1. I have many of the same goals. But I’m still on snowfall-holding-pattern! The sun poked through for a minute but the clouds are back. 3” snow yesterday and another 2-3” due overnight. I’m so ready for thaw…so ready!
