Christ is risen from the dead trampling down death by death and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!
Despite all the strange and crazy world we live in, we have made it through this lentiest lent ever and we have come to this beautiful and bright place, the place where our minds and hearts should always be. But the world gets in the way and draws our attention to other places. The Church in her infinite wisdom gives us these lenten periods to brings us back to where we need to be.
The Resurrection of Christ. The Joy of it all!
One of my favorite hymns sung on this day and actually every single Sunday says, “…through the cross joy comes into all the world.”
Bright Pascha to all of you! And let me leave you with this brightness of my life…this flash back to Pascha 2003!
I am an Orthodox Christian, a deacon’s wife, a mother, and an aspiring Kindler of Joy.
I believe I’ve begun to understand (finally), by the grace of God, where we can begin to find happiness. True happiness. My heart longs for a deeper connection to those around me and to creation. I want to feel joy not only in myself but to see it on the face of people I love and those that God brings my way.
Thus, begins my journey to become a Kindler of Joy. It is a journey, a path of learning and growing. So I’ve created my blog as a reminder to myself, daily, to open my eyes and find the beauty and joy around me. I long to share this joy, to spread this joy and to inspire others to become Kindlers of Joy. When we kindle joy in others we spread a light throughout this dark world. A light that is desperately needed.
Won't you join me in spreading this light, this joy?

Christ is Risen! Indeed He’s Risen! Love you, my friend. I look forward to the day we can share this joy together. Be prepared for too many hugs.
