I created this site to encourage myself on this Journey to Joy, to help myself focus on Christ and His glorious Resurrection and His beauty all around. I, personally, need the constant reminder and by writing and sharing with you it gives me a purpose and focus.

Christ is risen! ❤ I cannot tell a lie. This hymn will absolutely be missed. We love this hymn so much! We sing it tonight for the last time in honoring the Leavetaking of Pascha. We don't want to say goodbye. 🌻 Here we are singing it in our home for Reader's vespers. Christ is risen!! 🌻 This is the last Sunday of Pascha! New post on blog. 🌺 I truly cannot believe this season is coming to a close. In some respect I feel like it hasn't even arrived yet! 🌼 This verse of the Paschal stichera is one of my favorites! Who am I kidding? I love all of them. Christ is risen!!! 🌻 We sung this hymn tonight and I was struck by this beautiful phrase & prayer... "...by Thy touch Thou didst enlighten all. Christ is risen! ❤ "Thou didst descend into the tomb, O Immortal. Thou didst destroy the power of death. In victory didst Thou arise, O Christ God, proclaiming 'REJOICE!' to the myrrhbearing women, granting peace to Thine apoatles, and bestowing resurrection on the fallen!" 💐 Singing this every service since Pascha. I love it. This hymnography is so crucial to bringing this Feast of Feasts alive! Many have missed it so much. Being IN the service with senses filled to the brim with sound and sight and smell and movement. Leavetaking of this feast is literally right around the corner. I just cannot let go. I came across this quote awhile back but just today returned to it quite by accident. How timely though! 🌞 "Our life depends on the kind of thoughts we nurture. If our thoughts are peaceful, calm, meek and kind, then that is what our life is like. If our thoughts are turned to the circumstances in which we live, we are drawn into a whirlpool of thoughts and we can have neither peace nor tranquility." 🌻 I really needed this reminder today. We cannot let these strange circumstances draw us into the whirpool of overwhelm and negativity. 🌺 Christ is risen from the dead. He has conquered death.
