Home Again, Home Again…Jiggety-Jig

A month since my last post, I am back home after a wonderful trip across country with my eldest daughter. So much has been going on since I got back home. And so much has happened while I was away. So much beauty. So much strength from God, so much learning, and so much joy. So much to share. I’ll just start where I left off and share in segments as time allows.

In Chamberlain, SD at a rest stop with the Missouri River behind us.

Mom and I spent a week unpacking and getting settled into her new apartment. I think she is settling in nicely and will be happy there. She just needs to work out the kinks of living alone…for the first time ever in her life. She has so much family there though, she isn’t ever really alone.

Mom & her sisters! She is on the right.

After leaving there I headed east to pick up Kelsey in Minneapolis and we spent 2 days visiting friends and family in St. Paul and Wisconsin.

My cousins farm. One of my favorite things in all the world is to visit the farm!
This is Green Lake in MN. This is where I grew up visiting on weekends in the summer at my dad & his wife’s cabin. My step-sister owns it now and it was lovely to visit.

After that we headed south to Iowa to visit some dear friends who moved away from WA. What a delight! There is so much beauty all over the world, even in the flatlands. 😉 Some parts of Iowa are not nearly as flat as I thought.

From Iowa we headed to The Blackhills! What a beautiful place! We fell in love with this area. We drove through Deadwood, SD too!

From there we spent two days at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park in Montana before heading home! Since we spent 2 days here I really took it in with my camera. There was so much beauty! Have I mentioned how much I love farms and cows? This place was idyllic!

All in all, I was gone for 3 weeks, and it was such a joy to see more of God’s beautiful world. I loved exploring new territory! We traveled from MN to WA via Iowa and SD in a very short amount of time. We didn’t see all there is to see, and we can’t wait to go back for more exploration. I especially can’t wait to take my hubby.

What an amazing, beautiful world!

There are so many photos to share and I hope to put some in new cards in the future!

Blessings to you all!
