Psalm 33/34

This Psalm has been on my mind quite a bit over the last couple of weeks.

Two weeks ago on Sunday it suddenly hit me, the words that I was singing.

I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

One of my goals…to continually be focused on Christ. Praising Him always. In good and in bad.

In the Lord shall my soul be praised, let the meek hear and be glad.
O magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt His name together.

It makes me so happy to sing these lines. Does it not fill you with joy?

Come unto Him and be enlightened and your faces shall not be ashamed.

Does this mean we will shine with joy? Come unto Him and He will shine through you.

O taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man that hopeth in Him.

We sing this every single Sunday at the end of Liturgy as we have finished receiving the Eucharist. O taste and see that the Lord is good. How can we take in the body and blood of Christ and not feel this in the depth of our souls.

…see that the Lord is good.

See. Look all around, in all of creation and see that the Lord is good!

If you’d like to hear our choir sing this beautiful hymn check out my Instagram. I’ve posted to my stories.

We are headed to the wilderness to witness His goodness and beauty for this long holiday weekend. I’m looking forward to this time with my family as we marvel at the altar in the wilderness.

Have a great weekend, my friends.
