Today’s scripture reading grabbed my attention.
Some days are hard. Really hard. We get discouraged. We lose hope and we despair. The world feels like it is closing in and we are overwhelmed.
It is on days like this that I really need my reminders.
There are so many reminders to call upon. (And I am still working my environment so that they are a constant.) But when I am really struggling with those feelings of overwhelm and despair the best reminder to pull me up and out is that of the Risen Christ. The reminder of “That Feeling”. Because “that feeling” is pure joy. “That feeling” brings an abundance of hope direct from the Holy Spirit. Direct from He who has trampled down death by death!
In today’s scripture reading given by the Church, Romans 15:13 gives us a reminder of hope.

And what a beautiful prayer to pray as well.
Lord Jesus Christ, He Who has trampled down death by death, the God of hope, come and fill us with Your joy and peace, that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
My prayer for you. My prayer for me.
Have a blessed Wednesday! Christ is Risen!
Just what I needed today, Sue! Thank you!
