My eldest daughter works for an advertising agency that works for Non-Profit organizations, particularly Christian, all over the world. She is a proofreader and she loves her job! Since she started working for them she has been introduced to all kinds of Christian Charities by proofreading newsletters, fliers, pamphlets, advertising emails, etc.
In her work, recently, she has come across 2 charities in particular that she thought I would be interested in, and she wasn’t wrong. Both of these organization has a letter-writing ministry as part of their “get involved” campaigns. I would love to share them with you on this Letter-Writing Wednesday (that has been somewhat neglected as of late).

For over 60 years, Open Doors has worked in the world’s most oppressive countries, empowering Christians who are persecuted for their beliefs. Open Doors equips persecuted Christians in more than 60 countries through programs like Bible & Gospel Development, Women & Children Advancement and Christian Community Restoration.
From Open Doors “About Us”
Open Doors seems really amazing! And the reason I bring them up here is that they have a letter writing campaign. Some of the requests for letters are done via an online form but there are a few where you can write to specific people who they are helping. Heart-wrenching stories of Christians being beat nearly to death for their faith. Open Doors is helping them. You can write to them. Check out the story of Eldo and his sister and then take a few brief moments to send them a card of hope. Hear about Aisha, a wife and mother who was sexually assaulted, then send her a note of encouragement. Here is place where you can send more general letters.
You can find all their opportunities for writing at this page. Please pay attention to their advice in letter writing that is typically posted on each page. The last page with general writing has it on their downloadable template.

The 2nd opportunity I want to share is with Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch in North Dakota.
Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a Christian residential treatment and educational center for children and their families.
From their “About us”
We help the most troubled, complicated and amazing kids by providing best-in-class psychiatric therapy and trauma-informed care, where we look kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves.
At Dakota Ranch you can send “Hope Notes” to young people who are at a most difficult time of their life. Just a few minutes a day and you can bring hope back into their lives. You can send joy!
This is an easy way to give “for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine” as Christ has taught us.
May we hear His words and take action.
Great!
