We’ve come to the end of a long challenging day! We left on our trip to move my mom back to MN today. When we drove out of the driveway at 815 am I thought we’d be at our first night’s rest before dinner. Drive time should have been eight and a half hours plus stops.
Here we are…ready to go. Take note of the load on the pickup.
We pulled into our lodging at 1110pm!
Phew! What a day!
Rather than tell you all of my woes, I’ve decided that in theme with this blog and for my own salvation, I will share with you all the beautiful blessings I found this day!
Despite the challenges, God bestowed on us many blessings. He saw us through those challenges. I am incredibly grateful.
We needed to stop and rescue the first attempt to seal the bed of my pickup with tarp and tie-downs. We ran into a bit of ran and wind that tore the first attempt apart.
We pulled over. Mom stayed with the truck and ran for supplies.
Back with my remedies, we were back on the road with a very secure load and sunshine ahead.
We had rain clouds all around us. To the north, to the south, to the east, and to the west.
But as we worked on the big bundle on the truck there was not one drop of rain. As we started on our way, it felt as if the waters were parting as we drove east on I-90.
Such beauty. So much sun and puffy clouds and beautiful darkness around but not on us. At one point it felt as though we were driving through a tunnel.
I am so grateful for such beauty in nature, for God’s guidance and mercy, and to be able to sleep for a bit. Tomorrow will find many more blessings as we drive through the entire state of Montana.
